When you enter the Fonda Museum, be prepared to step back in time. Gib and Jan Alpers have organized their museum to depict the small businesses and life of small town Iowa in the 1920s and 1930s. Discover the general store, barber shop, print shop, fire department, petromobilia, music of the past, ’50s room, 5¢ popcorn, and more. Your stroll through the museum is like a Saturday night walk down main street of any small Iowa town during that era. This museum is a fantastic experience of yesteryear that you do not want to miss!
